OUR STORY
NoyArt was founded to establishe an essential link between Armenia’s skilled artisans and the western world.
Several years have been spent identifying and working with the finest artists and craftspeople in Armenia so that we could bring the best of Armenia directly to you while providing Armenian artisans an opportunity to stay in their homeland and to live and raise their families with dignity.
NoyArt now works with over 10 artisans - some are individual entrepreneurs, others are working in cooperatives, in design schools, and in remote villages.
The goal of NoyArt is to help preserve Armenia’s ancient artistic legacy, support and employ gifted artisans and to directly connect the purchaser with the treasures of this special land.
We have offices in Yerevan and Jervezh, Armenia and a warehouse in USA. Our staff includes 11 individuals in both the US and in Armenia. Our products are found in over 7 shops throughout Armenia, the US, European countries, Canada.
A portion of the proceeds of every sale go to an Artisan Fund to support artisans and entrepreneurs in Armenia to obtain materials and tools necessary to do their craft.
Armenia is the first Christian country in the world. It adopted Christianity as its state religion in 301AD. It is a landlocked country, the size of the state of Maryland, and has a population of roughly 2-3 million people. Its neighbors are Georgia, Russia, Iran & Iraq. When Communism left Armenia in 1991 the Armenian people were unprepared for the drastic changes in their lives.
